About the Ride

Whether you’re a local looking to explore Iowa’s hidden gravel treasures or are coming in from out of town for this epic ride, you’ll grow to learn the Midwestern belief that with hard work and perseverance, good things will happen. 

 The course will offer 100-KM and 50K routes following unsanctioned, mass-start format. There will be an epic food and beverages at Start/Finish Area provided by local caterer  Jenn Beebe. As if this event wasn’t already awesome enough,  proceeds will support local junior racers at regional and national events.

What to Expect
The Loess Hills Enduro brings the Midwestern spirit alive with a unique, challenging and scenic ride – with your choice of carefully-selected 100-km route tracing through the area’s signature gravel roads. The courses showcase the rugged terrain once followed by famous explorers Lewis & Clark and  settlers headed down the Oregon Trail. You’ll experience where the West began through the rolling hills of prairie grass, cornfields, rustic barns, and river bluffs. The route also follows scenic canyon climbs that have been cut through the Loess Hills. There are a few carefully placed refreshment stations along the way, but remember, this is a self-supported event– so come prepared.

Please Note this is Self Supported event. You are traversing open roads without outside aid or assistance. There will be only one  fully stocked aid station with food and beverages on course.

Start Finish

This year we are moving into town of Malvern,IA. We will be utilizing Boehner Park in Malvern, IA for staging and start finish. Want to camp and roll up to the start finish line?  Not a problem!

Boehner Pond: Water/Electric Hookup $15.00 per night; Tent Camping $5.00 per night; Campground open from March 1 until October 31

After The Race

If everything you’ve read above isn’t enough to get you excited, you can also look forward to the post-ride Good Life Gravel Apres Party – bringing locally sourced offerings, everything from post-race libations to delicious grub for your belly. This year, we are offering some great food by local Chef Jenn Beebe!!!!

Come join us in the spirit of the Good Life at our local gravel gran fondo! We don’t care what you ride- just that you ride. So bring out your gravel bike, mountain bike, skinny bike, fat bike…heck even your unicycle, if you just happen to be that awesome. We look forward to seeing you at the start line!
